داخل خلايانا يوجد الحمض النووي، وهو اللغة الجينية التي تشكل هويتنا. وداخل المنظمة توجد البيانات فهي "الحمض النووي" للمنظمة. فكما أن المعلومات الجينية تحكم نمونا وخصائصنا، فإن البيانات توجه تطور المنظمات وهويتها.

فالبيانات تحدد من نكون، سواء على المستوى الفردي أو التنظيمي.

وكما قال إدوارد ديمينج "بدون أن تقدم بيانات، أنت مجرد شخص آخر لديه رأي."

Within our cells lies DNA, the genetic language shaping who we are. Similarly, data sets, algorithms, and patterns form the organization’s “DNA.” As genetic information governs our growth and characteristics, data guides the evolution and identity of organizations. Data defines who we are, both individually and organizationally.
